A Long Week in Northern Wisconsin!
My family went to a rare gem of a falls, Lower Potato River Falls, just a little ways south of Lake Superior. Few people, good trails, and neat things of wonder to discover! If you ever need a great resort try Garmisch, USA up there (though you will probably be unable to catch one of their booked Scandinavian-themed cabins). Need a great restaurant in this Lake Namakagon area? Try Rookery Pub Fine Dining for magical fish, lamb, steak, and scallops. A shimmering 3-star restaurant or more hiding in the midst of the woods in the middle of nowhere! Their website is: http://www.rookerypub.com/

One Billion Dollars. Lost.
Heart of Red Diamond Studios, for which this website is the blog, has been deeply affected by the massive news hitting the business world within the last 5 hours. One of the largest and most devestating electronics recalls of its kind... Intel Recalls Sandy Bridge Chipsets
Some of our most serious upcoming work may be delayed by weeks-multiple months, including color mastering, production of new works by Judah, website design, and more. The costs of this of Intel are insane, but for us too on a smaller scale may be considerable, and the labor involved mind-numbing. Pray for us.

Color Mastering for Photography
For French photographer Laurent, I just finished professionally color mastering an image of tea leaves. This is part of an ongoing effort to ramp up to offer professional color mastering services to photographers and digital artists through Heart of Red Diamond Studios.
An even more updated version based on community feedback is forthcoming.

After some work both the Studio website on Facebook and a RedBubble account are in a early functional state! That and I've begun to form some interesting new relationships with some prominent painters and photographers!

Framing Complete on the Favorite Piece
My most well-loved piece, entitled "Soft Touch" just got back from the framers! It has linen matting, top of the line museum glass, and a matching fillet inside its gold-spiral design frame. I couldn't believe how amazing it looks! The image is a metallic print on linen texture that produces the subtle blue color lines incredibly and can be seen crystal clear through the undiluted window that museum glass provides. It is not currently for sale but will go on display and possibly for sale in Feb-March. The original posting and full size can be seen HERE at Renderosity.

One of Our Favorite Digital Artists
It is a crime that not more netites know Joseph Presley, aka joefraq. Possibly as serious as a gross-misdemeanor. I'm a color theorist with a healthy grasp of art history (especially from WW2-on) and his eye for things more toward the earth-tone end of the spectrum is just incredible. Yeah, sure go ahead and say he's just another fractal artist, blah, blah... but I wouldn't even care what he'd say of his works (I know him in passing, he'd be overly modest, humble, and grateful) they really speak to me. I think his best work would be comfortable next to that of most contemporary futurists. And I think they'd be comfortable with him there too.
His best work is on Renderosity here.

Happy Advent!
Advent is upon us, the season where we remember the Christ! Accordingly, I wanted to give a gift to the world and show a math painting I recently did called "Holy Heart."
I'm not Roman Catholic myself but loved the angelic, loving image that emerged. It felt like a gift from above. Just as my last year of growth and great relationships has been. When I honestly pray for help lately, I get it.
